Research led SCITT Curriculum

Primary and Secondary SCITT Trainees attend weekly SCITT Centralised Training Sessions at St Joseph’s College, in our purpose built SCITT teacher training room. Our research informed, bespoke programme of SCITT Centralised Training sessions are delivered by outstanding classroom practitioners, experts in teaching and learning and Specialist Leaders of Education.

The SCITT’s centralised training programme…has been thoroughly constructed to ensure that trainees are well prepared for what is required of them in their placement schools. Mentors in placement schools build upon and add to this training well. Consequently, as the year progresses, trainees develop increasing confidence and expertise’.
